Police are searching for a man and a woman who they say are responsible for a gunpoint robbery inside Claremont Park. Sources close to the investigation say the woman met the victim on social media and lured him to the park.

It unfolded near East 170th Street and Clay Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the woman met with the victim, a 35-year-old man. Her alleged accomplice, whom the victim did not know, then walked up to the pair.

Moments later, the woman took out a gun and demanded the victim’s property. Police say the victim handed over his bracelet, necklace, watch and wallet, which contained around $600.

The duo took off running after the incident. No one was hurt, according to the NYPD.

Police sources say the woman met the victim in person one time before the robbery.

The NYPD released a social media image of her on Saturday. She is pictured with long black hair, a black headband and a nose piercing.

A description of the man allegedly involved in the scheme was not immediately available.

Police urge anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
