Senior Fair helps Rockland County's older residents get assistance

The annual Senior Fair returned to Rockland Community College on Tuesday, bringing together hundreds of local seniors and 179 vendors in what organizers said was the largest event since the fair began more than a decade ago.
Held in the Fieldhouse Gym, the event connected seniors with government agencies, health services and a wide range of community resources, all under one roof.
Attendees spent the day gathering information, exploring available services, and speaking directly with representatives from organizations serving older adults.
News 12 spoke with a few attendees.
"I think it's marvelous. It's wonderful. A lot of opportunities to get information," said Stephanie, of New City.
"Any type of support that seniors need, this fair is really giving it to you," said Brian, of Nanuet.
New York state Sen. Bill Weber coordinated the event.
