An off-duty NYPD officer is in critical condition following a brutal stabbing and robbery in Norwood, according to police sources.
A source close to the investigation says the officer works at the 50th Precinct. He was attacked just after 1:45 p.m. Friday outside 3174 Rochambeau Ave.
Sources say he suffered severe lacerations to his torso, arm and leg. Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
News 12 obtained video of the off-duty officer on the ground, being tended to by EMS.
Police sources say an active manhunt is underway for two men, who took off from the scene on an e-bike.
