The younger brother of two of the four New Yorkers killed in an explosion in Athens, Greece is sharing a message about holding loved ones close.
Clyde Hoxha lost his siblings, Florin Hoxha and Flordia Hoxha, in the explosion. Florin Hoxha’s fiancée, Eris Cani, and Flordia Hoxha’s husband, Ian Kirkpatrick, were also killed.
“It’s been the hardest time of my life to say the least," said Clyde Hoxha, Florin and Florida's younger brother.
Florin Hoxha and Eris Cani were expecting their first baby girl. Flordia Hoxha and Ian Kirkpatrick had recently gotten married over the summer on Long Island.
The four were vacationing in Athens and were set to leave the day of the explosion.
Clyde Hoxha said he hopes their deaths serve as a reminder for people to tell their families they love them and to stay close to their loved ones.
He also said he plans to do everything he can to honor them.
“I want people to know how wonderful they were,” Clyde said. “They were truly, truly honest people. They were really loving people in their own forms of love."
