Body cam video shows police arresting two shoplifting suspects fleeing Macy’s on same day
Police say both men were charged with petit larceny, resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Body camera footage released by Yonkers police shows officers arresting two alleged shoplifters during separate incidents at the Macy’s in Cross County Center.
Police said Officer Steven Velasquez was patrolling the shopping center on Sept. 18 when he encountered 45-year-old Michael Silvera of Mount Vernon, who allegedly tried to leave the store with more than $300 in unpaid merchandise. Police said Silvera ran when confronted but was quickly caught and arrested.
Later that afternoon, police said 25-year-old Davon Mallory, also of Mount Vernon, allegedly stole merchandise from the same Macy’s and fled on foot. Body camera video shows officers pursuing the suspect before taking him into custody.
