The NYPD has identified the two women who died after a Mercedes-Benz plowed into pedestrians and multiple vehicles in the Allerton on Friday.
The crash happened just before 2:15 p.m. at Allerton and Holland avenues, where investigators say an 81-year-old driver appeared to suffer a medical episode before losing control of the vehicle.
The driver struck four women, killing 39-year-old Angel Johnson and 57-year-old Robin Kennedy.
All four women were rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where Johnson and Kennedy were pronounced dead.
An 84-year-old woman remains in critical condition, while a 60-year-old woman remains in stable condition, according to police.
Investigators say the Mercedes also struck multiple vehicles, injuring several other people, who were all taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
