Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez confirmed that her district office in The Bronx was sent a suspicious letter on Tuesday.

The New York Democrat released a statement expressing gratitude for law enforcement’s quick response to the incident.

This is the latest incident amid a trend of suspicious mail being sent to politicians and lawmakers.

More than a dozen officials have reported letters and packages containing powdery white substances over the past two weeks.

Rep. Ritchie Torres’ office was among one of the recent targets.

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies say they are investigating the matter.
