New York gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman toured the Bronx on his campaign trail.
Blakeman claims state policies are fueling crime that spills into the suburbs, including Nassau County, where he serves as county executive.
He says he once lived and raised his children in the city but argues New Yorkers no longer feel safe.
The gubernatorial candidate says cooperation will be key when it comes to working with Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
"If the mayor works with me in good faith...I will work with him in good faith," Blakeman said. "It's a two-way street. He has to be able to sit down with me, and we have intelligent conversations and the issues facing New York."
