23-year-old man shot in eye and groin in West Farms

A 23-year-old man was shot in the eye and groin in West Farms on Saturday night, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a 911 call for a man shot on East 176th Street and Prospect Avenue at 9:06 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the man with gunshot wounds specifically to his left eye and the left side of his groin.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Police are searching for a man dressed in a white shirt and black pants, who ran off on foot on Prospect Avenue.
