Police identify 24-year-old man fatally shot in Morris Heights; multiple people in custody

When police arrived on scene, that's when they found the 24-year-old man shot multiple times in the head.

A 24-year-old man is dead after he was shot multiple times Sunday night in Morris Heights.

Police sources say multiple people are in custody in connection to the shooting and they will soon be charged. According to the NYPD, shots rang out at 8 p.m. Sunday night at 160 West 174th St.

When police arrived on scene, that's when they found the 24-year-old man shot multiple times in the head. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the victim as Randy Blanche of The Bronx.

Video from the scene last night showed multiple women handcuffed and heading inside of the police vehicles.

Right now, police have not yet released the victim's identity as they are waiting for the family to be notified.
