2nd person charged in death of Norwalk man found dead in crashed SUV

Police said a second person was charged in the death of a Norwalk man who was found shot to death in a crashed SUV.
Christopher Suarez was arraigned today on murder and tampering with evidence charges in the death of John Gavilanes.
Police said Gavilanes was found dead in his car in February on Route 7 in Norwalk.
State police said Gavilanes was the ex-boyfriend of Suarez's girlfriend at the time and that the couple committed the crime together.
Liliana Mejia was arrested earlier this month.
Police said Suarez was taken into custody in Oregon and extradited to Connecticut.
Suarez’s bond was raised to $3 million.
