Three stolen religious statues depicting the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal have been returned to their rightful owner.
The Catholic statues had been taken from the front yard of a Davidson Avenue home last month, and the suspect was recorded on camera twice committing the acts.
The thief first entered the yard on Aug. 6 and took one statue. Then he returned on Aug. 28 and took two more.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, says the intruder appeared to notice the camera but went along with the crime anyway.
Police informed the family last week that they had secured the statues, although the suspect remains unknown.
