A 30-year-old woman is dead, and a 44-year-old man is injured after a stabbing in Pelham Bay Park.

Police have identified the woman as Anthonella Contreras Linarez.

Linarez was pronounced dead at the hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds. The man was treated for a stab wound to his arm and is in stable condition.

The stabbing happened Wednesday around 8 p.m. near Rodmans Neck Island Circle.

News 12 spoke with Linarez’s father, who said the boyfriend of five years, Franklin Batalla, is the other victim.

He says the boyfriend told police that on Wednesday night, the couple went out to eat, and on their way home, Linarez said she had to pee. The boyfriend then pulled the car over and that's when the supposed assault happened.

He did not comment on whether he suspects Batalla may have been involved in his daughter’s death.

No arrests have been made.
