They're the miniature versions of New York's Bravest, and on Tuesday, they were officially sworn in.
Acting Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh welcomed more than 300 junior firefighters and EMTs Tuesday at noon.
The FDNY's fire safety education unit was present at the ceremony, with interactive displays and potentially life-saving information.
The event took place at 30 Rock as part of the department's annual outreach efforts, which include distributing 15,000 smoke alarms across over 200 locations in New York City.
The young New Yorkers took an oath designed to remind kids to practice fire safety and share it with their loved ones.
