Body Elite Gym in Brooklyn collapsed Wednesday and according to the Department of Buildings, it had active violations related to safety. 

The DOB says engineers and inspectors were on scene at 348 Court St. investigating the incident and that the building had five active violations related to the safety of the structure of the building. 

The latest was filed this past March. 

Three of those violations were for failure to maintain the building in code within the past eight months. 

The DOB says they have filled a Full Vacate Order to the neighboring commercial building at 350 Court St.

One minor injury treated at the scene was reported.
