A popular children's store is making a swift return in New Jersey after shutting down this summer. Buybuy Baby is having its grand reopening on Saturday.
While many children's stores have been closing locations, the CEO says hopefully this will be the first of many stores that reopen.
The chain was previously owned by Bed Bath & Beyond, which closed all its locations after the brand filed for bankruptcy. Buybuy Baby is no longer owned by the brand.
Buybuy Baby CEO, Peter Daleiden, plans to reopen multiple locations across the state. He told News 12, “For the last three months, we’ve worked tirelessly to build a new supply chain, build new operational capabilities to get us to this point, to see this beautiful store.”
District Manager, Michael Salgado said, “One of the biggest things that separates us from the competition is not just having the product in the stores but it’s the experience and the knowledge that our staff has.”
One of the celebrations kicking off Saturday is the Woodbridge location at 675 Route 1 South in Iselin from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They plan to have experts at the store to explain popular baby products, food and a chance to win some items like strollers and car seats.
Other grand reopenings will be held in Bridgewater, Cherry Hill and Paramus.
