4-year-old found in critical condition in Williamsbridge dies

Police did not detail how the child was hurt or where exactly the child was found, saying only that the investigation is ongoing.

A 4-year-old girl who was found in critical condition Friday morning in Williamsbridge has died, according to police.

Authorities say a 911 call brought officers to Barnes and Adee avenues around 9:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the child unconscious and unresponsive.

She was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and later pronounced dead.

Police did not detail how the child was hurt or where exactly the child was found, saying only that the investigation is ongoing.

Officials say her identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.
