A 53-year-old man struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Bronx was seriously injured, police say.
The incident happened Sunday just after 11 p.m. on East Tremont Avenue in Parkchester.
Trevor Phillip was crossing the street to visit his girlfriend when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan and dragged several yards, according to witnesses and police.
He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center with a head injury and two broken legs and a broken shoulder.
The victim's girlfriend, Tywana Perez, say one of the witnesses, an off-duty EMT was driving behind the suspected hit-and-run driver who struck Philips and rushed to aid him after the incident.
Philips is in serious condition at Jacobi Medical Center.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
