64-year-old man dies after losing control of scooter in Morris Park

Police say that a 64-year-old man is dead after he swerved into traffic while riding a scooter and hit his head.

Original reports from police said that the man was hit by a car. Further investigation found the man failed to navigate traffic when he fell.

The crash occurred just before 11 a.m. near 1510 Waters Place in Morris Park.

EMS responded to the crash and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police say the man was traveling northbound in the busy two-way intersection when he was hit.
