Members of the community came together Friday to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attacks 14 years ago.
Each year the Jacobi Medical Center holds a Sept. 11 memorial ceremony inside its Memorial Garden. The garden, which is dedicated to the Bronx victims of the World Trade Center tragedy, is a place of healing and comfort for those affected.
This year, dozens of residents commemorated the anniversary at the Memorial Garden with a wreath laying, song and prayer.
Hospital administrators say that the annual ceremony honoring the victims is a permanent event at the medical center garden, where residents can come any time to remember fallen loved ones.
