A 95-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of an 89-year-old woman inside a Coney Island nursing home.

Police say Galia Smirnova, 95, is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officers were called to Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on West 29th Street just before 10:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found Nina Kravtsov, 89, with a serious head injury. She died at the hospital early Monday morning.

Records show the facility has more than 100 complaints since 2021 and is also facing a class action lawsuit over claims of unsafe staffing levels.

News 12 reached out to the facility for comment but have not heard back.
