One Bronx baseball fan got the chance on Sunday to see his hometown team play live for the first time in eight decades.

Joe Casaburi, 96, saw the Yankees in action live for the first time since legends like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were playing.

The Yankees gave Casaburi a tour of Monument Park and the team museum, but Casaburi says nothing compared to seeing a game in person for the first time in a long time.

Casaburi says he's been watching the Yankees on TV for over 80 years, but life obstacles have made it harder for him to get to a game. The World War II veteran cared for his wife who had dementia for 20 years before she died.

The great-grandfather also recently had open heart surgery, but he never gave up on his dream of getting to go to Yankee Stadium.

"I’m really excited, I never had anything like this in my life," Casaburi said.

Casaburi's 90-year-old sister also joined him at the team's last game of the regular season.
