Wet weather is creating some hazardous road conditions around the borough today.
Overnight rain left behind wet pavements, and there continues to be poor visibility.
According to AAA, wet pavements contribute to 1.2 million crashes each year.
AAA urges drivers to avoid cruise control, keep it slow on the roads and leave room between your car and others.
On wet days, cruise control could increase the chances of losing control of a vehicle.
Leaving room between cars in front of you helps to avoid accidents and reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
If you are driving and feel that the vehicle is about to skid, drivers should continue steering in the necessary direction and not slam on the brakes.
