Seniors at the Academy of Mount St. Ursula in Bedford Park celebrated the school's annual Ring Day Thursday in a different manner than previous years.
In the past, the girls would skate down a big hill on 199th Street that leads to the school. But the principal told News 12 they were not able to continue that tradition this year due to permit issues and COVID-19 restrictions.
Instead, the girls marched around the neighborhood to celebrate their accomplishments and showed off their school spirit as parents and staff cheered.
It was a memorable day for the class of 2022 at AMSU as they received their senior rings. Receiving the rings meant a celebration of their academic accomplishments and signaled the road to the end of their high school journey.
