Accused killer charged with murder in Kingsbridge Heights stabbing

Court documents show the suspect in a fatal Kingsbridge Heights stabbing has been charged with murder.

Cynthia Phillips has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Dwayne Valentine.

Phillips and Valentine had a child together, court documents say.

Police responded to an apartment on Grand Avenue late Monday night and found Valentine, 40, stabbed to death.

The next court date is tomorrow.
