The Administration for Children's Services has become involved in the investigation of a 7-year-old boy falling out of a ninth-floor window at the Bronx River Houses Saturday.
Police say the boy, who has autism, pushed the paneling next to an air conditioner out of the way, causing him to fall through the window in his bedroom.
His mother was in the apartment when it happened. He was brought to NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi in critical condition.
A family friend tells News 12 the boy suffered broken bones and bleeding to his brain.
The family is asking the public for prayers for the boy.
