Drivers are going to have to pump their brakes a bit if driving near Yankee Stadium starting today.
The New York City Department of Transportation has added Jerome Avenue between 161st and Bainbridge to its list of city slow zones.
The speed limit on the five-mile stretch will be lowered by 5 mph to 25 mph.
The NYPD is enforcing the speeding rules at the new slow zone, as well as one on Southern Boulevard between Bruckner Boulevard and East Fordham Road.
The locations are part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Vision Zero plan to improve traffic safety.
A total of 14 new slow zones have been announced recently.
