Aldi supermarket held a grand opening today for its first store in The Bronx .

The discount chain has moved onto 1750 East Gun Hill Road in Baychester. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this morning, followed by taste-testings for residents to compare Aldi products with other brands.

Officials say the store still has a few open positions and hires almost all employees locally. Bronx residents can pick up an application at the store along with their groceries.
