Two 17-year-old girls were shot inside
Arcilla Playground on Monday night, according to the NYPD.
Police say the shooting took place near Teller Avenue around 8 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the two teenagers shot. One of the teens was shot in the leg and the other grazed by a bullet to the head.
Both victims were rushed to Harlem Hospital and are in stable condition.
The two girls are not believed to be the intended target of the gunfire, officials add.
Parents tell News 12 their children were at the park when it happened and that the shots sounded like fireworks.
The NYPD has no one in custody at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
