16h agoThe death of an 8-year-old boy in June of 2021 has officially been deemed a homicide, the NYPD says.
Police say Joseph Barney died after he was taken to the hospital by his mother on June 1 after they found him unresponsive.
The child reportedly didn't have any signs of trauma, but was underweight, leading police to believe that he was starved to death.
