Alert Center: FDNY battles 3-alarm fire in vacant Bronx building

A three-alarm fire broke out in the Concourse Village section of the Bronx after midnight, according to the FDNY.

A three-alarm fire broke out in the Concourse Village section of the Bronx after midnight, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters responded to the second floor of the building at 1329 Morris Ave. where smoke was pouring out of.
The fire department says the fire was under control within an hour, and that it was a vacant building.
One firefighter was transported to a hospital for injuries. 
It's unclear what caused the fire at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
