Rep. Lee Zeldin has picked Alison Esposito as his running mate in the New York gubernatorial race.
The Shirley Republican made the announcement Wednesday.
Esposito is the NYPD deputy inspector at the 70th Precinct.
Zeldin also has a new opponent in the Republican primary race for governor.
Westchester businessman Harry Wilson has entered the fray.
Wilson joins Zeldin, former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, and former Trump White House staffer Andrew Guliani in a four-way race.
The New York Republican party will hold its nominating convention on Long Island next week.
Meanwhile, former Suffolk GOP Board of Elections Commissioner Nick LaLota says he'll run for the Congressional seat currently held by Zeldin.
Democratic Nassau Legislator Siela Bynoe is running to replace Garden City Congresswoman Kathleen Rice, who announced last week that she will not seek reelection.
