Police have arrested the suspect linked to a homicide in the Bronx.
The NYPD says they responded to a 911 call at 3559 Holland Ave. in March. When officers arrived, a 26-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was transported to treatment but succumbed to his injuries. Officers identified the victim as Stephen Stuart.
Police say they arrested 18-year-old Santiana Rodriguez, of Brooklyn, in connection to the homicide. She has been charged with murder.
According to police, Rodriguez got into dispute with the victim in a Dunkin Donuts when she cut the line to make an order. She told them to back off because they probably had COVID.
Police say she then called someone about the incident, followed the victim out of the location and met with a man that argued with victim and friend. During the argument, the man allegedly mentioned to Rodriguez to "get his gun."
Police say Stuart and his friend split up and at some point, Stuart was shot after that. His friend returned to location and found him shot.
