Allie’s Place Center for Culinary Education & Employment is now offering homeless Bronx residents and aspiring cooks and food industry workers an opportunity to join the culinary industry.
The free training sessions help those looking for entry-level jobs break into the food industry. For two weeks out of each month, Bronx community members can learn the basics of culinary practice.
After graduating from the week-long foundational class, students can add to their skill set by training in a three-day barista course or various baking workshops.
