The city is returning to normal more than two weeks after Hurricane Sandy struck and that means drivers need to move their cars.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that alternate-side parking rules are back in place. Officials say it will allow for street maintenance and facilitate remaining recovery efforts.

Exceptions are being made in some storm-ravaged sections of Brooklyn and Queens where parking rules remain suspended until further notice.
