Officials have opened two more coronavirus mobile testing sites on Long Island – one in the southwest corner of Stony Brook University.
Like the Jones Beach testing site, residents must call the state hotline and make an appointment first.
Health officials say once someone is given an appointment time and they arrive, they will be guided to one of six stations where they'll answer some questions and be tested.
In addition to Stony Brook, a private drive-through site opened in Jericho for
ProHEALTH patients.
Bonnie Simmons, a ProHEALTH Urgent Care chairperson, says testing takes 10-15 minutes and is done right in patients' cars.
