The Billie Holiday Theatre in Bedford-Stuyvesant, one of the most famous in Brooklyn, will be  celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022.

The theatre has served as a significant platform for Black artists. It is also the site of the first Black Lives Matter street mural in New York City.
