The Cardinal Spellman Falcons defeated the Xavier Knights 42-36 in boys? basketball.

The Falcons went into the home contest on a three-game winning streak and jumped out to a huge 19-5 lead in the second quarter, led by sophomore Chris Manhertz.

The Knights were able to cut into the lead in the second half, but not enough to threaten the Falcons, who picked up their fourth straight win in what has been an inconsistent season.

After winning their first three games of the season, the Falcons proceeded to drop six of their next seven before starting the winning streak.
