New York Attorney General Letitia James is hosting the first statewide gun buyback event next.

She says participants can get $500 per assault rifle or ghost gun, $150 per handgun and $75 per shotgun. Officials will accept working and non-working guns. All guns must be unloaded and placed in a bag or box.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 at the Family Life Academy on West 170th Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
