The NYPD has confirmed that the body found on Saturday off the shore of Coney Island is that of 15-year-old Markel Artis. 

On Thursday, two boys were swept away in a rip current at the beach in Coney Island.

Officials say that the two teens were swimming in a section that was not monitored by lifeguards when the incident took place. A 16-year-old was rescued from the water.
