Police say a man was found dead in a car in near a school in Crotona Park.

According to the NYPD, officers found that man sitting on the passenger seat of a Honda CRV with a gunshot wound to the stomach at around 2 p.m. Police say he was 26 years old, but has yet to be identified.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed the area where the man was found was not where the shooting took place. Authorities say he was shot near East 163rd Street and was driven to 1180 Union Ave.

Arrests have not been made.
