Police are investigating a shooting that took place in Co-op City on Thursday night where a sword was recovered. 

Investigators recovered a sword from the scene, and law enforcement officials say that one man was shot in the leg along Erskine Place at around 4:45 p.m.

Authorities say the victim, a 51-year-old man, is expected to be OK. At this time, police say they do not know how the sword is connected to the incident.
