Police say P.S. 69 in the Bronx was placed on lockdown due to shots fired in the area Monday morning.

Officers responded to the area of 532 Soundview Ave. after 9 a.m. P.S. 69 was close to the area, and the school went into a brief shelter-in as officers investigated.

Police discovered an unknown suspect discharged a firearm.

There were no injuries reported.
