A group of Bronx middle school students is preparing for a special performance.

Pelham Gardens Middle School students in the "Words and Music" program teamed up with Grammy Award-winning songwriter Liz Rose to write their own song.

The group was established through a partnership between the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Education through Music, a nonprofit organization encouraging music in public schools. The group will perform the song at a Country Music Hall of Fame fundraiser.

The students will be the opening act at the benefit concert, to be held Tuesday at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square.
