President Joe Biden has extended the application deadline for the Paycheck Protection Program, giving small businesses more time to apply for aid. 

The program is a forgivable loan to help small businesses with their payroll and business-related expenses, like rent. 

The deadline to apply for the program has been extended until May 31.
