The state Department of Justice says the owner of Vazzy's Restaurant in Bridgeport turned himself in on Wednesday.

John Vazzano, 58, is accused of offering a bribe in the hopes of making sex assault charges against two of his employees disappear.

State prosecutors say the alleged victim was also a former employee.

In addition to the bribery count, Vazzano is charged with misleading police as to the whereabouts of the two accused employees.
