If you're looking for affordable housing, a waiting list is opening at the Municipal Housing Authority for the city of Yonkers.

This is the first time in 10 years that the MHACY is looking to add 3,000 people to the waiting list.

The deadline for residents to apply is July 13 and a public lottery will be held on August 2 and 3.

Pre-applications can also be accepted at the MHACY'S central office at 1511 Central Park Avenue.
