Andrew's Top Gun Run 5K is a celebration of what would have been Andrew's 16th birthday.
“This is overwhelming. When we first started this out, we thought we would bring a bunch of people together,” says Alisa McMorris, Andrew's mother. “Basically, this has turned out to be a magnificent celebration of life and of just what Andrew was about - bringing people together where nothing else matters than having a good time and being kind to each other.”
"The fact that we're celebrating Andrew at a place that was really super cool, where F-14s used to take off from, it's just so appropriate for him – and his spirit is here so much," says Andrew's father John McMorris.
All of the money raised will go towards scholarships in Andrew's memory.
