A special new art exhibit is catching the eyes of admirers along Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn.
A total of 65 businesses along a 1.5-mile stretch are taking part, including restaurant facades and storefronts of closed-down businesses.
Each year, Arts Gowanus celebrates the art of local artists in one space, but due to COVID-19, the group had to get creative. Its Gowanus Open Studios was canceled, but has been replaced with a "safe art walk" where people can enjoy art safely in the businesses and storefronts in the area.
The executive director of Arts Gowanus tells News 12 that there's something for everyone, bringing the community together.
The family-friendly event is scheduled to remain open through Nov. 1.
