Residents in Parkchester say they were the targets of multiple burglary attempts while a surveillance camera was rolling.
The incident happened at an apartment complex at 1942 Mcgraw Ave.
Surveillance video shows a man reach into his back pocket and try to pry open the front door of the building. The suspect then attempted to kick through the gate, trying to break into the building for nearly 20 minutes.
The suspect eventually left, but video shows he returned Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m.
Millie Clavell, the property manager, says the man ran west down Mcgraw Avenue once he was confronted by a resident. She says they called police, but it was too late.
Police are urging anyone who sees the suspect to dial 911 and not to confront him.
